5/8/12 - Your broadcast and Henry's website does not state that "reservations" are highly suggested but both should state this. Henry's own website under FAQs says reservations are only required for parities of 7 or over and for their special events. If the use of reservations had been stressed, I would not be writing dissenting remarks about my almost experience at this establishment.

My friend and I had looked forward to enjoying our first experience at Henry's Tea Room in Lee's Summit. Based on our experience today, however good the food might be, we can not recommend the Tea Room based on "service" and lack of managing our expectations. We arrived at 11:15 a.m. and went directly to the Tea Room to see if or when they could seat us as we did not have reservations - if they had no opennings we would have come back another day or if they had an openning later this afternoon, we would have done that.

There were 2 other parties of 2 who did not have reservations. We were all told that they had a number of reserved seatings to sit first but that all 3 parties would be seated in the next 10-15 minutes about 11:30. It wasn't until 11:45 minutes later that 1 party of 2 was seated and the remaining 2 parties told it would might be another few minutes for us as they had to sit those with reservations first.........By noon, 45 min after our arrival and being told that they would have seating available in 10-15 minutes, they were now saying as they were behind in seating those with reservations it might be another 30 minutes at best for either party to be seated. Please note that while waiting, we also observed that the seating of parties with reservations were regularly told that there was a 10 min wait for the party to be seated. It appeared that they may have a problem managing time allotted for clients' meals. We left almost an hour after our arrival as the number of clients with reservations waiting to be seated was increasing as well as our wait time.

If we'd been advised when we arrived that there would have been a minimum hour wait, we would have come back at another time to try ths CHECK PLEASE suggested venue and hopefully found the fare to be as good as advised.

A major
irritation about politicians is their holier-than-thou attitude when it comes
to disrespecting a person's right to privacy as it pertains to respect of the
Do Not Call List. The Do Not Call List
is supposed to allow us to list our telephone number and not be bothered by
calls from anyone we do not provide our number to specifically with permission
to call us.

However,
politicians have always written an exception to themselves (politicians) in the
Do Not Call List, so they can call us and text us (at our expense)
unfettered. During the last national
election, we received more than 14 text messages along with numerous voice
messages from the supposedly democratic party.
We did not receive any from the republican party that time. The small letter democratic and republican
are on purpose since their lack of respect means they are not truly Democratic
or Republican.

During this
election cycle, we have already begun receiving the unwanted calls. There is a group of us who have already
decided that we will refuse to vote for any politician who calls our telephone
numbers that are on the Do Not call List.
We will also follow the same policy for ay politician who calls or tests
our cell phones since they currently do not allow cell phones to be on the Do
Not Call List. Unless someone
specifically "signs up" to receive spam calls, a politician should
respect the right of people to not be bothered by the call.

Yes, it may seem
contrary to be ready to vote for someone, then change that vote due to an
unasked for and unwanted call or text.
However, if ANY politician does not respect us enough to not respect our
right to not be called, they will not respect us in any other manner, so they
do not deserve our vote.

Maybe you can
implore politicians' to respect this right.
We are having more people agreeing with our opinion, and there are
likely more people in other areas of the country with the same feelings. We are just drowned out and ignored by the
mass and political persuasion groups, but maybe our votes will make the
difference in who is elected. At least
we will know we did not place our vote for anyone, Republican, Democrat,
Independent, or other, who star of by disrespecting us and perpetuating the
"golden politician syndrome" of a law not being applicable to them.

When will you air Series 5 of "Doc Martin"? It is becoming more and more popular in the US all the time, with many PBS stations already airing Series 5. Everybody who watches Doc Martin, from my 19 year old daughter to my 80 year old aunt, love this show! I believe the more you do to promote this funny, different and quirky show, the more viewers you will attract. And, we all know what that means! Watch Doc Martin, it will change your life! :)

In response to Pathand2u and David Kesinger, I strongly suspect that you would prefer that only men were allowed to talk on the show. Mary is more often the voice of reason, and she doesn't take a back seat to the uber-conservative men on the show. Yes she has to talk over them, but if she didn't, she would never get a word in edgewise!! Her comments are witty, concise and based on real-life experience. People who don't allow people with contrary opinions to theirs are a severe threat to public discourse, which a major cornerstone of the USA!

The reviewers are missing the point of the "Ag-Gag Law"...those of us in Agriculture have no problem with the true stories about our operations being published. HOWEVER, most of the films released portraying poor treatment of livestock and other undesirable practices are almost exclusively staged...organizations like PETA and HSUS and their members who promote them have (in general) very little understanding of agricultural practices - the how and why - and assume that everything they see is maltreatment and abuse.

Get to know a farmer or rancher and you will learn that they are the greatest stewards of the land and the greatest humanitarians of livestock. After this, journalists, tell the true story, and you will be given the green light every time. In the grand scheme it's also protecting YOU, the journalist, from libel or slander by confirming that you have the true story about agriculture.

I tried watching the show again last night, but the format of three liberals vs. one conservative is getting old. It would be much more balanced -- as well as entertaining -- if you dumped one of the liberals and added a second conservative. Ron Freeman, an African-American conservative who ran for Congress, was head of the Kansas Republican Party and now is a public speaker would be an exccellent choice.

why can't I find Downton Abbey Season 2 full episodes on line. I watch Season 1 on Netflix in one day. I understand Season 3 will start sometime soon. I need to find Season 2 before Season 3 comes so I'm not lost.
